Hello my lovely readers!
Today's #SeasonalSonnets entry is in celebration of a huge physical and emotional achievement for me, which is the absolute best present I could've asked for at this time of year.
I am now able to sit out of my wheelchair on a different chair once again - and do so comfortably enough and for long enough to have a proper cuddle with my dogs.
I did it for the first time in ages last night, and it was an utter delight - especially when Darcy then decided to take up residence in my vacated seat.
Photographic evidence below!
Love until tomorrow x
22nd December
Today I revel in the joy of sitting,
a rather different kind, though – out my chair! –
and of the fact that it seems only fitting
I could do’t with my favourite furry pair.
I’ve written here before about our cuddles,
but they’ve mostly been at quite a distance,
and yesterday, t’my delight, my
muscles
let me sit in comfort with only slight resistance.
Moreo’er, I was relieved of any pain
by small, warm bodies resting at my back,
who, should my spasms surface once again,
were ready to prevent full blown attack.
I am forever grateful for my pups,
‘cause they both do a great deal t’lift me up.
