I wasn't sure what to write about today, so eventually I settled on showcasing the site through which I do my accompanying 'light drawings' and the reasons I love it, in case any of you are interested too. It's called weavesilk.com and is amazing. Today's picture is just the result of a doodling session. I hope you like it!
11th December
A thought occurred today whilst making notes,
as I stared upon the blank space in the margin,
and it struck me that I’ve never well-evoked
intent in doodles to match th’energy I’m discharging.
That is to say, I haven’t got the skills,
to steady off my hand when I am drawing
and make the image my perfectionist mind wills –
or, indeed, make any better than a scrawling.
Or so I thought, until I found Weave Silk,
A website with the tools to draw with light –
and, ‘cause it’s of Creative Commons ilk,
each artist retains their own copyright.
Since through it I have found my toolkit grow,
I thought I’d use my verse today to let you know.
